Job Details:

Responsible for Chemotherapy Compounding and Reconciliation in accordance with USP Chapter <797-800> Compliance and Documentation.
Works with the quality coordinator to ensure that policies and procedures are current and that all compounding activities are in compliance with USP and MOH regulations.
Coordinates regular sterility and stability testing of the stock sterile products in compliance with USP and MOH regulations.
Oversees all documentation related to sterile product production.
Management of end product process prior to distribution.
Ensures all compounding and testing records are accurate and complete.
Accurately prepares and labels sterile products in a safe and cost-effective manner, utilizing an aseptic technique.
Maintains adequate stock of supplies necessary for compounding and cleaning of the Sterile Compounding Area.
Performs and documents daily, weekly, monthly and annual requirements of sterile processing rooms.
Oversees validation checking of pharmacy employees
Responsible for training new employees in sterile product compounding and assessing skills of employees periodically and re-training as necessary.
Accurately prepares and updated Pre-printed orders (PPOs) for chemotherapy medications.
Revise the doctors’ orders for the accuracy of chemotherapy doses according to body surface area (BSA) and Laboratory results including kidney function tests (KFTs, liver function tests (LFTs) and complete blood count (CBC).

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical science (5 Years).
Certificate of Training as a chemotherapy pharmacist.

Experience:

Must have at least two years of experience in a pharmacy.
Must have at least one month of experience in chemotherapy preparation.
