About the Job
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides the highest standard of medical care for patients and covering all duties
  • Provide the highest standards of radiation therapy treatment
  • Participates the management of the physical and manpower resources of the department to maximum efficiency and effectiveness. On duty rota as directed by Head of the Department
  • Participate in the teaching of Junior staff, and technical staff in the department and other teaching activities arranged by the department.
  • Participate un the planning of further development in the department.
  • Oversees regular medical audit within his/her care, and on the basis of this organizes prospective studies of medical topics of current importance in the department.
  • Deputizes for the Head of the Department during leave periods if so required and shares workload in his specialty during absence of colleagues.
  • Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Potential to improve his/her clinical expertise as well as standard of Practice with regards to morbidity and cost effectiveness.
  • Support the quality assurance activities of the team and actively contribute to the identification of needed improvement in current service provision and strategies for introducing these.
  • Participate in the Environmental Safety Awareness, i.e. CPR, Fire and Safety, Infection Control and major disaster plan of the center as indicated.
  • Ensures continuous quality improvement and patient safety with full compliance to Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation Standards and Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of healthcare Institutions (CBAHI).
 
Skills:
  • Saudi Board or equivalent Saudi Board with more than five (2) years clinical experience.
  • Competence should have been achieved with use of radiation therapy in management of solid as well hematological malignancies. There must be broad — based experience of anticipating and management of complications of cancers and radiation therapy.
  • He / She must have diverse clinical experience of treating patients with curative or palliative intents, whole skin and hemi body irradiation, etc.
